Day 15

Day 15 finally made it up... (but I'm a day behind..)

So once again, I diverted from my original plan of having the half circle from the number 15 on the left side.. who knew it would be this beautiful snowy day that I just had to use the entire page to scrap! And that's just it, we don't know what's gonna happen, so it's okay to move things around!

Now this particular layout.. I used that same transparency from Day 10 to compliment my Snow Photo for that day.
* I also added Ali Edward's Holiday Overlays bought from Designer Digitals. She did a really good tutorial on how to use her overlays on her Day 2:

Opposite page, I used that card that I did not use on day 13 and placed it right over this Transparency from Making Memories. I love this journaling tablet from Making Memories (yes we have it at the store).. it has a sheets to write on and coordinating transparency to lay over your journaling sheet. So as you can see, I just used the snowflake one.

Tomorrow, I will catch up on those 2 days.. (pinky swear!)

Day 15, on hold...

Yup, I was on a winning streak posting every single night sometimes at 2 am... but I'm not superwoman, not today... I'm not gonna lie, I'm so tired, all I want to do is hit the sack.. my eyes can barely keep up and it's only 10pm. I knew all these late nights were gonna catch up with me sometime, I was just hoping it would hit me on Thursday (so that I can sleep in cause the kids don't have school on Friday..) But I will be up bright an early (6 am early) and I will update Day 15. For now.. Day 15 is gonna be in my "dreams" Nighty Night!

Day 14

Day Fourteen starts behind that page protector that I sewed in half.
While I was taking photos of the trees yesterday, I wanted to document my childhood during Christmas time. I tell the kids the same story about how it was for me and my family back when I was younger.. and it's one they can recite word for word once I say, "When I was your age..." So I think that page will eventually go in between these two pages. For now this is what I have.

Day 13

Day 13 is a double pager.. but if you remember from the example at the beginning of starting this all, I changed the context of the album. This is the original planned layout, where I used the divided page protector for that little journaling card. But I decided not to use it.

Since I played around with my camera that night.. trying some bokeh shots, I decided to use that empty spot for journaling from my day.

These fun chipboard pieces are also from Making Memories. I decided to add the "tree" over the page protector for a more 3-d effect.

Day Twelve.

I used this side of my recipe card to add the journaling for that day. I covered it with pattern paper from Figgy Puddin. The cut out numbers are from the MME accessory sheet.
Extra Supplies bought at store:
  • Family Card Journaling: Little Yellow Bicylce Journaling Cards/Tablet
  • "Ho, ho, ho" and "Festive" cut out from Making Memories

Day Eleven

On this day I decided to cover the entire recipe card with a photo. I sized the photo to be slightly larger than the recipe card itself at about 4.5 " by 6.5" This gave me room to exacto knife around the edges for a perfect fit.

Here is a closer look:
(I used my Signo White Pen for journling)
I've realized after typing most of my journaling throughout the book, that I do like the look of handwritten journaling. So I will be adding more handwritten journaling from now on.

Day Ten.

Extra Supplies (bought at the store):
  • Fancy Pants "Christmas Magic" Transparency Overlay. I cut them into 4's, sized at 6x6.
  • Making Memories embellishment kit, transparencies, chipboard, and paper (in a pack) That is the "Let It Snow" and transparency tree.

In the pockets I added some journaling (another extra item bought at the store... I can't help it, I do work in a scrapbook store, it's hard to walk away sometimes..) The journaling is from Little Yellow Bicycle Journaling Cards. I simply added the photos in the pockets.
(I may cut out a tag from the sizzix dies at the store and adhere them to it).
